May the Force be with you.

Thanks, but I’m sure the Empire will crush me as per usual.

Go get ‘em, Tony!!

Oh, and I don’t understand the bad tweet? Why was that a bad thing to say?

I’ll be following with interest. And cheering you on.

Apparently, the agent and author had a big announcement planned. Amazon lists books a very long time before they are published. I happened to find it and tweet it, not thinking anything about it. But apparently MY tweet to my few followers was enough to RUIN their multimedia book announcement plans.

And it was also a good excuse to brush me off, too.

Well that's just bullshit.

Smart marketing would have allowed "the leak."

It's a business of very large egos.

Ugg. Been there, done that. Then, when I did get a publisher, no marketing or PR support. On my way to self publishing…

Tough business. Same here on marketing and PR. Good luck with self-publishing, and with the new book with Stephanie!

You’re right. It’s helpful to hear other people’s stories and interesting and to make you feel you’re not alone. 100 queries tho! Most I’ve ever managed is about 5 and usually it’s one or two. I don’t fancy doing it again - have had a book finished for months now but not even the slightest desire to send it anywhere. I’ve written 5 stories this year. Send each one to one place. That’s enough.

I must be a glutton for punishment. I had about 30 rejections for “The Prison Nurse” short story before it won the Excerpt Contest. Now with the novel, I was hoping to avoid casting another giant net. Still hoping to.

I think you’re doing it the right way, not me 😂. Best of luck!

I appreciate that!

Although I am jealous of you Broken River guys because I do NOT have the energy to go hard at self-p like that anymore.
