Not really a lot to say, which is why a month has passed since the last post. But really, I don’t have much to report. Should be another story or two appearing soon - which I’ll let you know about over here - but other than that…
Spring Break came and went. I like going down to Mexico for Spring Break and then getting the hell out of Cancun to the quieter bits down south in the Riviera Maya. Mission Accomplished.
Now, back to grading too many papers, working on new short stories, preparing for a summer of (gulp) novel writing, hoping to score another bottle of Tapatio Tequilla to get the summer deck-and-writing-life off to a good start. If I can’t find that, I’ll consider my options carefully.
I haven’t had any wine in weeks due to 1) just utter illness. Seems I’ve gotten struck by multiple colds and stomach bugs, and I’m about goddamned tired of it, and 2) Spring Break was all about Dox Equis, tequila, a little mezcal, and some amazing cochinita pibil I devoured for breakfast most mornings.
I also haven’t written a wine column in months because…meh. I’d rather drink it than talk about it right now, I s’pose. We’ll see if I get back to it. Meanwhile, mighty fine writing over at Poverty House otherwise.
Anyway, I’m here. I’m busy. I’m writing. I’m submitting.
Oh, and the ridiculously-talented Steve Golds interviewed me for Punk-Noir Magazine. He’s a gifted writer and indie champ. Happy to be on his good side.
